When the deep, resonant drones of the didgeridoo meet the shimmering ethereal tones of the harp, a space is set that is undeniably calming, enlightening and sacred. Earthy, rhythmic pulses intertwining with delicate, flowing harmonies creates a soundscape experience that feels expansive and transportive, grounded and distinctively atmospheric.
String Theory is the duo project of vocalist, guitarist and didgeridoo player Stu Harcourt, and vocalist and harpist Loni Fitzpatrick. Honouring the ancient origins and deep cultural roots of the harp and didgeridoo, the duo focuses on their timbral interplay, exploring how breath, resonance, and harmonic colour meet and evolve in real time through improvisation and imagery. The nature of their duo stems from curiosity, vulnerability, respect and intention, giving each instrument space and allowing their distinct voices to connect naturally. The result is a sound that feels both ancient and contemporary, while creating a sense of euphoria and wonder.

This album wasn’t planned, per-se - it was felt.
Two musicians, brought together by the power of. the universe, following sound where it wanted to go. No set plan, no structure, just open space, deep breath and trust in the moment… and each other.
What you hear are improvisations that will never happen the same way again. It’s a meeting of earth and air, strings and drone, space and soul.
